Football Season is Here!

Football season is in full swing around the Vest house! Liberty had their first game Friday night vs TCA. It was a beautiful night for a football game. Bart, Mandie and their kids were at the game. Madison had fun playing with her cousins. Liberty ended up losing the game so it wasn't a perfect night! Here are a few pictures from the game.

Madison was so cute copying everything Ross and Reid were doing on the field. She kept getting down into a stance (like Reid is doing in the 2nd picture). She had no clue what they were doing but she was having fun running around after them. :)

We figured this would be the last family picture of the 3 of us (at a football game) before Cooper arrives. As you can see, I'm getting quite large!

Saturday after we got home from the grocery store Madison and I cleaned the strawberries and cut off the leaves. I rinse and cut and she 'organizes' them on a paper towel to dry!

she usually snacks on a few too!

'cheese' face! what a ham!

The girl LOVES her some strawberries!

Trent was home early on Saturday (12:30). We had a good day hanging out around the house. We enjoyed having him home with us. That won't happen again until Christmas. Saturday night Madison started complaining of her belly hurting. She ended up throwing up late Saturday night, probably from all the drainage she has. Today she has seemed better. I think she's still trying to get over her croup/virus! Hopefully she is completely better before her baby brother arrives!
I have ONE WEEK left of school before I go on maternity leave. We are off next Monday and then I'm going to take Tuesday off to spend with Madison. My doctor is going to induce on Wednesday. We will have a baby by September 9th!! The countdown is on...

Gotta Love 2 Year Olds...

This morning Madison and I made our weekly trip to buy groceries. Trent was at work planning for next weeks football game. We got home and I was unloading the groceries while Madison was gathering all her babies, purses and everything else we have to take when we leave the house. I had all the groceries inside and on the counter so I told Madison to wait inside while I ran out to get my purse and her diaper bag. 2 seconds later I go to open the door to go back inside and IT'S LOCKED!! I hear Madison on the other side of the door so I ask her to unlock the door. I hear her start turning the door handle and she says "I can't do it". So I call Trent and tell him and he immediately says he's on his way. Luckily he only works about 10 minutes away (at most)! While I'm waiting on him I go around back to see if she can unlock the glass door. She can't. So I tell her to crawl out the dog door. So she crawled out and we went out front to wait on Trent.
We knew this was bound to happen so it's our own fault. She's been shutting the doors inside for awhile and just recently started locking them. But we've always been in the room with her. Needless to say, I'm going to go get an extra house key made SOON!

Earlier today she made me laugh because we were in the car (on our way to buy groceries) and her new thing to say when we are in the car is "I wanna hold you...in the car". She used to always ask me to hold her while we were in the car. I would always say "I can't hold you in the car" so now she has added in the car. Today she had been asking 'to hold me' and we were stopped at a red light and she said "this is driving me crazy" (not knowing what she was talking about) I turn around and she her messing with her car seat straps. What 2 year old says that? Obviously one that has heard someone say that. It made me laugh. She definitely keeps me on my toes these days...

First Days of Daycare

First day of daycare 2007 (8 weeks old)

First day of daycare 2008 (14 months old)

First day of daycare 2009 (26 months old)

She wanted a picture with the spoon in her mouth before she'd take one without! Trent took Madison this morning. He said she didn't cry. He set her down to eat her breakfast and she just looked around, a little unsure, but never got upset. When he left she just watched him out of the corner of her eye. When he picked her up they said she did good. When he asked her about her day she said she had fun with her friends but she didn't want to see them again. She wanted to stay home with Mommy and Daddy. When I asked her what she did she said, "played with a baby but she took it away" apparently a friend took her baby away :)
We all survived. It made it easier that Trent took her. This week he's taking and picking up because he starts later than me and gets out earlier. Starting next week it will be back to our normal routine...he takes and I pick up!

The last days of summer

Madison and I tried to make the most out of our last few days together. Trent was at camp the last two weeks of summer so it was just us girls. We did lots of shopping, swimming and playing.

We went to the pool everyday! She loves it. She loves running around in the shallow part but her favorite thing to do is jump to me! The last day we went swimming she started saying "move your belly" I didn't understand what she was meaning for awhile and then I finally figured out she wanted me to move back so she would have to jump farther. After I figured it out and asked her if that was what she wanted she said yes and started saying "move back mommy" and would motion for me to back up! SO CUTE! She became quiet the little water lover this summer!

We played with her animals...

One morning I was working on the computer and she climbed onto our window in our room and put the end caps to all the blinds on her fingers! She thought this was the funniest thing. She still asks to look at this picture and cracks up every time she sees it.

We played with her 'table head'

We went out to Camp Copass every night to watch Daddy's football team. We always had to bring at least one baby and a purse with us! Some nights we had the baby stroller too!

watching practice and drinking a milkshake!

Spending some time with her Daddy before we had to come back home

I got her nap mat out on Saturday to wash it and get it ready for daycare. She was excited to lay on it again :)

Our summer ended with Trent's birthday! We went to Celina for the day to celebrate with his family. Here is a picture of all the girl cousins! It actually turned out really good.

This was such a great summer! Madison is at such a fun age. I had so much fun spending every day with her. It was really hard to put her to bed last night knowing I wasn't going to get to see her all day. At least I'll be home again in a few weeks :)

Faye's Birthday

My Aunt Faye's birthday was the same day as my shower so we had a surprise party for her that night at Joan and Shon's house. Our family was in town for my shower and her boys drove in later that afternoon. We ate pizza and cake and watched Madison swim/dance in the pool! It was fun to see everyone!

I LOVE this picture of her!

Happy Birthday, Faye!

Michael, Me and Madison

My mom had come in Wednesday before my shower and stayed with Madison and I while Trent was at Camp Copass. Madison has been glued to her Nana for 4 days and is very sad that she is gone. Last night when were leaving Joan's she kept saying "you comin with me Nana?" She's not going to know what to do next week when it's just me and her again since Trent will be back at camp!

Cooper's Baby Shower w/Family & Friends

My sisters in law had a shower for me this past weekend. It turned out GREAT!! They did such a great job. We had a good turnout and we got a lot of great gifts!! Now all we need is a little boy here to use them all. :) Here are some pictures from the shower!

Aunt Kara and Nana brought Madison a gift to open. She got a new shirt and skirt. She was excited about her new clothes.
