Yay! We finally have something for the baby! His bedding came in the mail today. Madison was so excited to open it. She ran around the house yelling "I excited, I excited". She helped me unpack it all and even tested out the pillow and blanket. Here are a few pictures of some of the main things. I didn't take pictures of the diaper stacker, curtains, bumber or pilllow. You still get the idea...
the blanket
the changing pad cover
his cute little rug
lamp shade
Now we just need to paint Madison's new room so we can move her out and start decorating his room! Trent hasn't decided if he's painting over the stripes or leaving them. If you remember, Madison's room has two different colors of khaki stripes on the top half of her walls with pink underneath. If he leaves the stripes all he will have to do is paint the bottom a different color. Who knows what he'll decide. I LOVE the new bedding! I'm so excited to see her old room transformed into this little boys room.

Abilene
Dad was on vacation this week so we made a trip to Abilene. We were there from Thursday to Sunday. As always, it flew by but we had a great time. Thursday Madison spent her time playing in the pool her Papa and Grammy bought her.
She's cleaning it out...she watched Grammy do this to the big pool and decided she needed to clean her pool.
Her Papa played with her. He let her do whatever she wanted. At one point she was filling his pockets with water. He also taught her bad things...like how to splash all of us who were watching. She loved playing in the water.
Feeding the giraffes
I had to include this picture because this is the face we get if we say, "say cheese".
she got to ride on lots of shoulders...
she now sits on the belly instead of the hip...
After the zoo we went to eat at McDonalds so she could play on the playground. She couldn't get up this one. She can climb up the one here but this one was a little bit bigger. Her Uncle Michael helped her get to the top. She was so cute and so excited. The whole way up she kept saying "come on, come on". She wanted Michael to go through all of it with her. Seeing as how it says 4-12 years old and he's 23, he didn't think he should continue on.
On Saturday we went to Nana and Pa's house. Madison loved all the attention she was getting from all of her grandparents. We went to eat lunch and then played at Nana's the rest of the afternoon. We tried to go back to the zoo but it closed early. So, Madison played in the backyard on her Elmo water pad that mom had gotten for her last year.
On Sunday, Madison played with her Nana and Pa til about noon and then we headed over to Dad's for Father's Day lunch.
Madison is not going to know what to do now that we are at home and she doesn't have everyone doing everything she wants them to do and when she wants them to do it. She was very spoiled over the past 4 days. She got lots of things, ate lots of junk and stayed up late. I guess that's what grandparents are for. Now it's back to reality with us! :)

On Friday we went to the zoo! Madison loves animals. She knows most of them and can tell you the sounds they make. She really loved the monkeys, ducks and giraffes.

Happy Birthday, Madison!!
She spent the rest of the evening 'mowing' the backyard.
Saturday morning Uncle Michael came over. He had a wedding in Abilene at 5:00 so he wasn't going to be able to stay for the party. He drove in early to see Madison and spend time with her. Here she is opening his gift before he left. It was so cute...the baby wouldn't come out of the bag so she turned the bag upside down and started shaking it out. She's a smart little girl.
She LOVES this baby and highchair! In fact, it was the first thing she asked for this morning when she woke up.
Aunt Kara showed up around noon! Her and Madison enjoyed some pizza before the party!
Everyone else showed up around party time. We just had family over for a small party. We had some snacks, cake and ice cream and then let the kids play in the backyard. They all had a good time. Madison loved having all of her cousins over to play. Here are a lot of pictures from the afternoon...
Opening presents
The Elmo cake
(she's been asking for it for the past 2 weeks!)

Playing and Swimming Outside
Time for cake...
After the party was over, Madison put on her jewelry and high heels. I told her to say cheese for a picture and this is what I got...
Grammy, Papa and Uncle Randy spent the night with us Saturday night. We went to eat at The Roadhouse and then came back and played some more.
This morning when she woke up she immediately wanted her baby and highchair. Since everyone was still asleep, we went outside to play for awhile. When everyone was up, we came back in and Madison decided she wanted to be the baby in the baby bed. She loves all of her new toys!
This is her "cheese" face!
After Grammy and Papa left we went shopping (per Madison's request) and had lunch! When we got home we played ALL day with all of her new toys. About 7:00 she was snacking on some cheese puffs and we looked over to see this...
she was exhausted!!
Happy Birthday sweet, sweet girl! We LOVE you so much!!!
