Thankful

I'm thankful for my sweet family! I can't imagine my life without these three people!

We had a great Thanksgiving in Oklahoma! Sharon and Robbie hosted our Thanksgiving this year, in their new house! The kids slept the whole way there which worked out great! Madison had SO much fun playing with her cousins and Abby! I just love watching her come to life when they are all around! Cooper is starting to get in on the action himself. Trent and I had a great time visiting with everyone and eating lots of food!

Even though it was FREEZING outside the kids spent most of the afternoon playing outside. They had so much fun running around. I can't count the number of times I put that jacket on and took that jacket off. They were in and out all day!

I would love to know what these three were talking about!

Matching jackets!

We are sure blessed with lots of great family! We love ALL of you!

Yvonne comes to Abilene

Our Aunt Yvonne came to visit from Massachusetts. She was coming for a week and staying through Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, this wasn't my year to be home with my family! Michael had to work the day after Thanksgiving so he wasn't going to be home either. We decided to go visit her the weekend before Thanksgiving. Trent was still playing football at the time so he wasn't able to make it. (He was in Austin and they ended up losing their game. This is the first time in 6 years that he's been finished with football before Thanksgiving)
Michael and I decided to just ride together. So Friday after school, I loaded up the kids and Rosco and we headed to Bedford to pick up Michael and his two dogs! Yes, that's 3 dogs, 2 kids and 2 adults all in the truck! We were stuck in traffic forever so we didn't get to Abilene until around 9:30 Friday night. Since the kids had slept most of the way they were awake and ready to play...until around midnight!
We split our time and days between Mom and Dad. It was great to see everyone and visit with Yvonne. She is the exact same. Crazy as ever. We had a relaxing weekend despite Cooper's fussiness. I don't think he was feeling well. I don't think Michael will have kids anytime soon, if he was even thinking about it before this trip.

Cooper watchin the Aggies with his Papa!

I love this picture! She was talking his ear off most of the weekend. She sure loves her Uncle Michael.

Cooper had some new blocks waiting for him at Grammy & Papa's. Madison took over and built a huge tower! This was the first of many!

She had so much fun playing with Papa! Cooper had so much fun watching. Every once in awhile he'd run over and join in but he had more fun watching.

Nanny & Papa

Visiting on the back porch!

Madison and Papa picking up pecans! She also got to jump in piles of leaves "because it's fall". She read about it in fall books at school. She was excited that she got to do it too!

I really didn't take any pictures that I intended to take...Yvonne with the kids and such. I guess I'll do that when she's back in another 5+ years :/

a doctor?

This is his new favorite toy and he has it around his neck most days! I love it. Maybe he'll be a doctor and take care of us when we're old!! :) I had to get a picture to capture this moment in time. My sweet boy is sure growing up way too fast! (He's watching TV in these pictures, in case you were wondering what he was so interested in)

Halloween

We had a relaxing Halloween Day. Cooper started running a fever Saturday night and was not feeling well and it ran through the morning of Halloween so we didn't go to church. We weren't sure that he was going to be able to dress up and go to the carnival that night, but his fever broke around 10:00 and he was ok the rest of the day. He was just EXTREMELY fussy! As you'll see in the pictures that follow! :)

Playing with their Daddy!

Our church has Carnival31 every year on Halloween. We've gone for the past 3 years! We always meet Zack & Melanie and their kids too! Madison was so excited to go trick-or-treating. She even practiced saying it all day. I had high hopes that she would follow through when the time came.

Here is my sweet butterfly:

Here's my grumpy gnome!

He wasn't mad about the costume. He was mad that I put him down to take his picture. He wanted to be held and he didn't want anyone to touch him. Madison had put her arm around him trying to be sweet and that sent him into a screaming fit! He fell asleep as soon as we got in the car.

Quick cousins picture while waiting in the trunk-or-treat line. After all that practicing Madison would not say 'trick-or-treat' or thank you. After a few times we made her get out of the line.

We moved onto the games. She wanted to play them but she was too shy! So we moved on again...

To the bounce houses and bounce slides! This was right up her ally. She had so much fun sliding and bouncing.

Cooper and Kailyn watching Ethan ride a mechanical bull. Cooper did such a great job once we were outside. He sat in the stroller most of the night. Towards the end I let him out to run around. He loved watching the kids jump in the bounce house. He just laughed and laughed!

We tried to get a picture of the kids out of the strollers but it just didn't work!

We only stayed at the carnival about an hour and then we came home to watch the Rangers :)
