School Shower

Our school only does baby showers for 1st babies. My wonderful friends at school decided to give me a shower outside of school. We had a great turnout and Cooper got so many great things! They were all so generous! It was so fun seeing everyone and visiting outside of school. Here are a few pictures from the day.

Isn't this lovely :) ??? They reused it from another shower and thought it would be funny if I wore it. I didn't.

Amy was so sweet and brought Madison a present too! It has a sparkly cross on the front. Madison loves it. As soon as we got home she told her Daddy she got a new shirt! Thanks Amy.

Look at all the stuff we got!!! I have such great friends. All the open diapers to the right were a diaper cake. On the way home Madison destroyed it because it was sitting next to her car seat in the back. I didn't get a picture of it. :(

Reunion Night

Every year our group of college friends meet at one of our houses for a mini reunion. This year it was at our house. So we had 9 adults and 3 babies all piled into our house. It was crowded but fun! We went out to eat Friday night and then stayed up way too late talking. Kate and Kendall were both in bed fairly early but not Madison. I think she finally fell asleep on Trent around 11:30!!! She was afraid she'd miss something I guess. Saturday morning we played and visited before some headed out. Amy,David, Kate, Michelle, Trent, Madison and I drove to Addison to eat Freebirds for lunch! It was a great end to a great night!
I think I'm still recovering from staying up til almost 2am! I'm not used to doing that anymore. I can't believe I only got these pictures from the evening. Madison has been asking "where is everybody" since Saturday :) She misses having so many people to play with her.

Cooper received some gifts as well. The Danes got him his first Aggie thing! Aren't they so cute?? The Mitchell's gave him his name framed with a verse written around it. You can't see it but it's Ps 139: 13-14

Cooper's Room

We have had the room painted for awhile but had no name. I didn't want to post pictures until we had his name on the wall. If you remember, the room used to look like this...

It's official

The baby finally has a name!!! YAY!!! Cooper Trent Vest! This was the name we had picked out over 2 years ago when I was pregnant with Madison. For some reason we had several boy names and no no girl names at the time. (Carson McKay Vest was our other choice). Well, Trent's cousin recently had a baby and they named their little boy Cooper. So we decided we weren't going to use it anymore. After 8 months of not agreeing on anything (he decided he didn't love Carson anymore, although it's still my fav.) he said lets just use Cooper. It's Trent's favorite name and he didn't love Madison's name (at the time) so I agreed. So our baby finally has a name. I just need to add his name to the wall in his room and then I can post pictures of his room. I've been waiting (not so patiently) for this day. :)

Bluebonnet Pictures (from May)

A friend of mine took some pictures of Madison in the bluebonnets back in May. We met her one day after school/daycare in Grapevine to get a few shots. Madison was not interested to say the least. We had such a hard time getting her to smile and it was SO WINDY! Considering these two factors, I'm happy we got a few good ones.
