Our Christmas

We asked our Elf, Angel, to ask Santa to come see us early because we were leaving for Abilene Christmas Eve morning. She must have relayed our message because Santa had come to see us when we woke up on Christmas Eve morning.

The kids each picked out a cookie they had decorated to leave for Santa.

We woke the kids up after Karsyn woke up! Here they come down the hall anxious to see what Santa left behind...

This poor girl was sick and not feeling well at all but she still managed to get out a few smiles. I hated that she felt so crummy on her 1st Christmas!

These three sure make the Christmas spirit come alive! Trent and I love watching the excitement in their eyes. We are thankful for all the blessings we have been given from the Lord and hope our kids always remember the true reason we celebrate!

Christmas cookies

We decorated our Christmas cookies on December 23rd (our Christmas Eve)! The kids LOVE this tradition. Trent and I do too! I just have to mentally prepare myself for the sprinkle clean up afterwards. :) I think I'm still finding sprinkles...in March!

Everyone showed off their favorite cookie that they decorated!

Christmas at Joan's

We celebrated Christmas with my mom's side of the family the Saturday before Christmas. It was all a little different this year. This was our first Christmas without Grandmom. Christmas fell in the middle of the week too so it was hard to work around people's work schedules. It was decided that we would celebrate the weekend before. It worked out fine, but it was sad that we were only together for a few hours. We left after the gift exchange because it was bed time for the Vest kiddos!

Madison, Cooper and Trent had a little game of football going on...

We had a great time visiting everyone! Slade was the only one missing.
