Pumpkin Patch 2013

Madison and Cooper had parent/teacher conferences on October 23rd. I was going to send them to Celina and run over for their conferences during my breaks at school but I decided to take the day off. Trent gets finished early on Wednesdays so I figured we could do the conferences and then head to the Pumpkin Patch before it got crowded. We took Karsyn to Mrs. Lisa's house before Cooper's conference and left her there until after Madison's. Unfortunately I had them planned really far apart because I thought I was going to be working. Cooper's was at 9:00 and Madison's wasn't until 2:15. As soon as Madison's was over we got Karsyn and headed to the pumpkin patch.
We started off with our annual measurement pictures. I love looking at these over the past 6 years.

We spent several minutes running from character to character to take pictures!

Trying to get all three to look at the same time (especially with all the distractions going on around them) was difficult!

 I love this one!

 Running to her Daddy...arms up!

They finally had taken enough pictures and were allowed to go play...their favorite part of the pumpkin patch. :) It was great because it wasn't crowded.

She loved playing in this little pumpkin house. The pumpkins were small enough that she could pick them up. She spent a lot of time taking them all off and putting them all back up.

We found a wagon with an extra part...I'm pretty sure that was for your pumpkins but for us, it was for Cooper. They were heavy.

 can you feel the love?

We survived another hot day at the pumpkin patch. I think there has only been one year that it was actually cold. Every other year we have been sweaty and nasty by the time we got back in the car.

Halloween Cookie Decorating Party

A friend of mine from Parkway had a cookie decorating party before Halloween. It was fun to see old friends and visit for a few hours. The kids had a blast playing and decorating cookies. Karsyn spent most of her time eating the candy that was supposed to go on the cookie.

The end of another soccer season

Cooper's team handed out a medal each week for different sportsmanship character awards. We had a funeral for a good friend/fellow coach during one of Cooper's soccer games. Of course, that was the week he won the award. I have an amazing neighbor that took pictures for me and text them to me. He won the award for teamwork! We have been so proud of this boy. He definitely has a competitive spirit and he appears to be a good little athlete. He loved his first season of soccer!

 Then there is this girl...

Madison played one week after Cooper to make up for a rain out earlier in the season. She has finished her 3rd season. She is not competitive in the least but she gets after it on the field and has fun doing it. We are so thankful for this group of girls that the Lord has blessed Madison with as friends.
Savannah Rose Himel (as the girls call her) and Madelyn Earl

Savannah, Madison, Mary Jane, and Madelyn --Savannah and Madelyn are twins!

The girls with Coach Scott and coaches helpers-Steve Cook and Sid Earl

At the end of every season they get a medal. Steve is giving Madison her medal.

We enjoyed watching soccer games but I'm not gonna lie, it will be nice to have our Saturdays back.

Future Career Day

She was so proud of this badge
Our girl dressed up like a teacher for future career day at school. She said, "I want to be a Kindergarten teacher when I grow up because it's fun to teach letters" on a paper she did at school.

Megan & Jake's Wedding

Megan & Jake got married October 20th! The kids had a blast at the wedding. They ran around like crazy people, danced and ate lots of cake! We had a great time and even got a good family picture. I'm actually going to have to use it on our Christmas card because I never got around to getting our pictures taken. I had to edit out Karsyn's band aid and Madison's tattoos. We'll see how they turn out.

Madison's First Field Trip

Madison's first field trip was to the Ft. Worth Zoo. Her field trip was October 16th and my kindergarten field trip was October 17th to the same zoo. Since I was already going on one field trip that week, Trent (and Cooper) went with Madison. I will go on her field trip in the spring. Liberty's tradition is to invite the whole family (only non school age kids...they don't want anyone missing school) to go. Since Cooper is only in preschool we figured it was ok that he missed. His teacher was on the field trip too because her son is in Madison's class.

Enjoying their pre zoo snack! They were waiting on tickets and parents to arrive.

Mrs. Sanchez's Kindergarten Class for 2013-2014

Trent, Madison and Cooper walked around with The Searcy's. I think Trent was glad to have a man around. :)

From the stories I heard that afternoon, they had a great time. The weather ended up not being as cold as they had thought. They fed the birds, got to touch snacks, rode on a train, ate pizza and had fun running through the zoo. I'm sad I missed her first field trip but so thankful Trent and Cooper were able to go!
