The kids (it's still weird saying 'kids' instead of Madison) and I went to Abilene this past week for a few days. We left Wednesday morning and came back Saturday afternoon. I was a little nervous going alone...just hoping that Cooper would sleep and Madison would be good. They both did GREAT!! Cooper slept the whole way and Madison watched Elmo and Veggie Tales! We had a great time seeing everyone. Grandpa, Nanny and Papa and Laurie's mom got to meet Cooper for the first time. Madison LOVED seeing everyone. Of course, she had several new things waiting on her. She even told my mom "we need some bath toys" one night while she was giving her a bath. As you can guess, the next day they were at Wal-Mart buying bath toys! Here are some pictures from our trip...
Kara hung out with us on Thursday! Madison loves playing with "Tara"!! She even likes Bliss now! Bliss is Kara's lab. She never liked her until she took her on a walk. Now she has decided that they are friends.
Not really sure why, but she wanted her pants off the whole time! Who knows...
eating a cinnamon roll with Uncle Michael (she LOVES Michael)
Along with all of Madison's toys Cooper did get some diapers, toys and shoes too! I'll have to post a picture of his new Aggie shoes! We had a great visit. Thank you Nana, Pa, Grammy and Papa for spending time with us! Come visit us soon!
Saturday we left around 3 and I dropped the kids off at Joan and Shon's house. I went and met Trent and several of our friends (other coaches and their wives) at Joe T Garcia's in Ft. Worth. This was our first 'date' since I had Cooper. Joan and Shon were nice enough to babysit both kids while we went out. Not sure if they'll ever do it again :) We were very grateful and had a good time! Trent was even nicer and got up with Cooper every time he woke up last night! I got to sleep through the night! It was WONDERFUL!

I'm so glad you're adjusting to the "kids" now!!! It is much different with 2! Madison sounds like a great big sister! Miss seeing y'all! Sounds like it was a fun trip. :)
It was a fun time. Can't wait to see the shoes. Ready for Thanksgiving.
