River House

Van & Kathy invited the whole family to their house on the river for the 4th of July. We stopped in Crowley for some water shoes and some lunch.

After lunch we continued on to the river. Van, Kathy, Camryn, Kim, Abby & Cooper were there when we arrived. The kids started playing immediately.

Later that day Gary, SueAnn, Haley, Connor, Cade, & Brandon got there. We had burgers for dinner and then headed down to the river.

That night we roasted marshmallows and sat around the fire. It's crazy that we could actually stand to sit outside and sit by a fire in July. It wasn't cold or anything but cold for July.

Around 10:30 we headed into Grandbury to stay at a hotel. Karsyn was passed out and never really woke up. Madison was chatty kathy and excited to be staying in a hotel. Cooper kept wondering when we were going home. :) 

 Trent and Cooper slept together and the three of us girls slept in the other bed. After being in bed for an hour or so Karsyn somehow made it over Madison and feel to the floor. Trent had to go to the car and get her pack-n-play. She slept the remainder of the night in that in the bathroom.

The next morning Cooper was super pumped to be in the hotel. They all loved going to breakfast, playing in the room, looking out the windows, and using the elevator.

We headed back out to the river house around 10:00 that morning. Robbie, Sharon, Robert, Seth, Shelby, Avery, Todd, Kim, and Megan all came out. The kids played in the bunk beds. They played croquet, danced to music, swam in the baby pool and ran crazy everywhere. The adults visited and had a great time watching the kids.

That afternoon all the younger adults took the kids down to the river. The boys fished and the girls sat in the sun watching the kids swim. I only had Madison so I got to relax for a few hours. Karsyn stayed with Gary & Sue Ann and Cooper went back up with them shortly after coming down.

The kids loved taking showers in the outside shower. 

Cooper loved Camryn and Connor. He never gave them a break. They were so sweet to cart him anywhere he wanted. 

That night we had a huge brisket meal. Connor, Brandon and Stevie put on a firework show that everyone enjoyed. We stayed and visited until around 11:00 that night before heading back home. We had such a great time. We loved getting to spend a few days with family.
