When I was taking Cooper's 10 month pictures she got me a piece of paper and said she wanted me to take her picture with her name. I guess she thought I was writing Cooper's name each month?? (That nice bump on her head is from her fall at the Rangers game)
She loves to watch her movies on the computer!
We braided her hair for the first time the other night. I'm not sure how long it will hold up but it was long enough to braid. She looks real cute. I braided her hair again tonight and then she wanted me to braid my hair. Those pictures will be posted soon. :)

Rangers Game
We finally made it to our first Rangers game of the season and Cooper's first Rangers game ever! We were a little nervous about having both kids with us but we wanted to spend a fun family night together. We made sure we had isle seats in case I had to get up a lot. I didn't want to have to climb over a million people. The kids did great. The weather was great. It was a little humid but the rain earlier in the day cooled things off quite a bit!

love this!

Madison refuses to smile in most pictures these days because she 'doesn't like pictures'!

He's already yawning and it's only the 1st inning!

She promised she liked cotton candy and then after about 3 bites she decided it wasn't so great! I could have had a funnel cake instead! :)

We were at the game that the man fell from the second level. We were sitting just 2 sections away. Trent actually saw him fall. I was corralling kids so I didn't see it, thank goodness! He fell from the top (kind of where the guy in red is standing). It was such a scary, crazy thing to happen! Thank goodness he's ok!

On our way to the car Madison was running and tripped. She fell flat on her belly and then her head literally slammed into the sidewalk. I was afraid she had busted all of her teeth out with the sound that it made. She came away with this nice knot on her head!
We had a great time and plan to go to a few more games before August comes and football starts!

Cooper is 10 months!
In his 9th month he"
-Got tubes in his ears! We are hoping that his cures his ear infections and helps him start sleeping again!
-He was still waking up a few times a night but this has decreased since the tubes are in. Now that we know he's not in pain we are about to start trying to break this again.
-He lost his appetite for about a week and a half after getting his tubes. I'm not sure if it was related or just coincidence. He wouldn't and still won't eat any baby food. He would eat very little table food. This has since changed and he's eating again but only table food. I have a freezer half full of baby food.
-We added: meat sticks, whole peas (not baby food peas), cooked carrots, cut green beans (He loves to hold these and eat them. He eats them like french fries) & cheese.
-He's had a few bad things too only because I hadn't packed food for him because I didn't know we were eating out. He's had french fries and cheese pizza sticks. He loved them both :)
-He found his man parts
-He can stand from the sitting position. He doesn't need anything to pull up on.
-He has taken a step several times but he immediately falls. He can walk if you hold his hand. You only have to hold one hand so I'm sure it's coming soon.
-He LOVES to swim. We've been a few times and he has a blast!
-He LOVES the bath. He is crazy in there. Every night when he gets out his eyes are so red from all the water he's splashed into them.
-Still loves to make clicking sounds with his tongue!
-He's a screamer. If he wants something he screams. We need to teach this boy sign language SOON.
-He's become REALLY attached to me. I love it and hate it.
He is growing up so fast on us! I can't believe we are about to celebrate his 1st birthday! We are enjoying spending our summer at home with both kiddos. Like everything else, it's going by so fast. We only have 3 weeks left with Trent until football starts again. We're trying to enjoy every minute of these last few weeks.
Rain Rain Go Away
At least that's what I say but Cooper LOVES it. He loves any water -the bathtub, the pool and apparently playing in the rain!

It has been raining here forever, at least that's what it has felt like. The other day we were so tired of being inside so we went to sit on the back porch. We weren't out there 2 minutes and both kids were in the rain. Cooper had a blast. He sat on the edge of the porch and just splashed in what little water was on our back porch! He would have stayed out there all day if we would have let him.

Trent talked Madison into running to the back fence. You could see the rain coming off the front of the porch but not the sides. She told him, "I'm gonna go this way" and she ran out the side of the porch. I think she thought she wouldn't get wet that way. :) She still ran there and back.

love that face!
Later that afternoon Trent went out to hang his ladder in the garage. I took that opportunity to get some stuff cleared out. We ended up being out there for awhile. I had put Cooper in the stroller with toys for a long time. He had gotten tired of that so Trent was holding him while I was organizing. Apparently he set him down because a few seconds later we hear squealing. He had crawled out into the driveway to be in the rain again!

He had the best time hitting this cooler!

This is how he kept crawling out there. Apparently the driveway is a little rough on the knees!

What a fun way to spend a rainy day!

The 4th of July
We had stayed in Sherman on the 3rd so we woke up and visited with Kim, Abby, Van & Kathy for awhile. We headed for 1000 Trails around 10:30. It was only a 30 minute drive (at most). Gary and Sue Ann rented a cabin for the week.

Cooper was out as soon as we loaded him in the car and Madison wasn't far behind. They were so tired from the day/night before.
Bart and his family were also visiting for the day. Zack and his family were busy and Seth was working so we were missing half the family. But we still had a great day! When we got there we ate lunch and the kids played around the cabin.

Cooper loved watching them out the door. He wants to be out there with them so bad. Reese was good about coming to the door to play with him. He would get so excited.

I love these pictures! They are just 26 months apart! They have so much fun playing together.

My sweet girl actually agreed to take a picture! That is a first these days. She's informed me that 'she doesn't like pictures' That's gonna be a problem because I like to take pictures. Lots of them.
After the kids played for awhile we headed to the pool. We brought Madison's bike with us because we knew the older kids would have theirs and we were hoping she'd learn to peddle a little better. She did exactly that. She became a fast bike rider on this trip.

Madison, Reese, and Reid all rode their bikes to the pool so Trent, Ross, Cooper and I walked with them. The others drove down in the car.

I L.O.V.E this picture! She will hate me for it one day but I don't care :)
After we were finished swimming Gary and Ross played putt-putt so I took the other kids over to 'watch'. They watched about one hole and then ran around to the empty holes and played. Then they found the sand and stayed there for awhile. (Trent had taken Cooper back to the cabin to take a nap after about an hour and a half at the pool)

Riding her bike back to the cabin! I'm telling you she became a pro. We were so proud of her. She even had her first bike wreck. The road by the cabin went in a circle so they would ride around the circle. At one point she had to go down hill and around a curve. Every time I went with her I kind of had to guide her. She went with her Pop Pop and Ross and left them behind. She got to going down hill and was looking at her feet peddling instead of the road and when she looked up she saw that she was about to go off the road so she jerked her handles and went off the bike. She didn't cry though. I'm sure there will be many more falls in the future!
Once we got back to the cabin we all set up our chairs out back and sat around visiting while Gary grilled hotdogs and hamburgers.

Love these pictures of him just sittin in his chair!
After dinner we made S'mores! This was Madison's first time to make them. She wasn't too sure at first so her Daddy helped her.

I guess she decided the sticks we found weren't good enough so she went and found her own! :) Trent put a marshmallow on it and we all started laughing. She got embarrassed and wouldn't do it. I don't think her stick was quite big enough...do you??

Then she got the hang of it and did it on her own!

Everyone hanging out

Dirty hands! They made a mess in the dirt!
