Spring Break ended

with SNOW!!! I'm actually tired of the snow and ready for warm weather. We love to play outside but would prefer to be in sunny weather, not snow!

Kailyn turns one!

Zack & Melanie had a family birthday party at their house for Kailyn. They made hamburgers and hotdogs, Kailyn opened presents, we had cake and visited while the kids played. It's been awhile since our whole family has been together. It was fun to see everyone and as always, Madison LOVED playing with her cousins! She loves going over to "Efan's" house. Here are the pictures from our day:

We got Kailyn her dishes...Madison thought she needed to show her how to play with them. :) She made her (and all of us) food!

4 Generations!

Happy Birthday Sweet Kailyn! We had fun at your party!

Brisket Tacos

We along with Zack and Melanie love Fuzzy Taco's. Zack was telling us how he made them at home using a roast so Trent decided to give it a try. We asked Zack, Melanie and the kids over to eat dinner with us. They turned out GREAT. Trent did a great job.

Before they came over (and after the park) Madison and I were picking weeds in the backyard. It was hot enough that we put our swimsuits on. I wanted to get a little sun and Madison just wanted hers on because I had mine on. :)

The kids playing:

look at that CRAZY hair!

Madison loved having her cousins over!

The Park with Friends

We met some friends from work at the park on Thursday. It was such a pretty day and fun to get out of the house and play. We had a little mini picnic too. Madison had such a good time.

All the kids- There were 9 in our group. Some are not in this picture.

Madison and Laken played together. They followed each other around and if one did something, then the other one had to do it. They were swinging on their bellies in this picture.

Madison and Laken

We are really enjoying our Spring Break at home. It's made us so excited for summer!
Cooper had his first biter biscuit. I hate these things because they are so messy. We also gave him some puffs but he can't feed himself yet.
He can't quiet make it to his mouth. If you put them in and put them in his cheek, he can chew it up. I don't think he's really ready for them yet.
We also got the big highchair down for him. This was his first time to sit in it. It's bringing back memories of Madison sitting in it. We gave him lots of toys to play with and within seconds they were all on the ground (same thing Madison used to do). He seems to like sitting in it. He can see what's going on around the kitchen.

They sit and watch us make dinner at night. We were taking up all the counter space on this particular night so Madison brought her Aggie Chair to sit on. She typically sits on the counter.

She's also become a climber. She is constantly crawling on the dog food to reach her snacks!

The girl can fold

Madison is into folding blankets these days AND she's good at it! It's actually really cute to watch. She even puts it under her chin. She's definitely watched me fold a towel or two! She folded Cooper's blanket for me the other night while I was doing laundry.
I had to get a picture so that I can remember when she liked to fold laundry at 2 1/2 ! There will come a day that it won't be so fun for her :)

Abilene

We started our Spring Break off with a quick trip to Abilene. Trent was off on Friday so he kept the kids at home. As soon as I got off we loaded up and headed to Abilene. We got on the road about 4:30...not a smart choice. We sat in traffic for a very long time. It took us almost 2 hours to get to Weatherford (usually takes us about an hour, at most). We had to make a few stops to use the restroom and finally made it to mom's about 8pm. Michael was there too. We had dinner waiting on us! (Ribs and Fajitas...Yummy!) No one went to bed until midnight! Cooper slept in the car so he was ready to go when we got there. Madison stayed awake in the car but she always gets excited to see her Grandparents.

Saturday we woke up and had breakfast. Grandmom came over and Madison and Nana made flowers like they do on Barney. :) That afternoon Grandpa came over and Michael took us out to Dr. Doziers house. Madison enjoyed seeing all the animals and walking around outside. It was such a pretty day. We enjoyed being outside.

making flowers

I put Madison's sunglasses on him thinking he'd pull them right off but he didn't. He just laughed. He kept them on until she wanted them back!

Love these pictures of Trent and Madison. I think they are so sweet! I think the one of her following Michael and Trent is cute too! She loves them both so much!

Saturday night we went to Dad's. We ate dinner and then went to the mall. That was a mistake on Laurie's part. Dad wants to buy everything for Madison. We went to exchange some shoes they had gotten her and she ended up with another pair too! After we left the mall, we went to PrimeTime. Madison was so exhausted by this point. She played the games but seemed so out of it. We made it over to the playground and she got to play a few minutes and then we had to leave because she had an accident. She hasn't had an accident in FOREVER. I couldn't even tell you the last time she did. I don't carry extra clothes for her anymore. This weekend she had two. I'm not really sure what that was all about. We went back to Dad's and watched movies and played.

Nanny & Papa came over for lunch on Sunday. Laurie made a roast and all the stuff to go with it. It was great! We ate and played. That night we went back over to Mom's and then left Monday. It always feels like we don't have enough time when we go. It's hard splitting the time between both families. I didn't get to see any friends this trip! Hopefully next time.

As you can see, the kids were EXHAUSTED! This was Sunday afternoon. By this point they had stayed up til midnight one night and ten the next night. Madison had no naps until this point! I had a hard time waking her up to go back over to Mom's. Cooper took several naps but he was still tired.

We are home now and Madison is running a fever. Not sure what it's from. She kept telling us she was so tired on Monday. We thought it was just from her busy weekend. She's still happy and playing but every once in awhile she'll complain of her tummy and head hurting. She just keeps saying "I'm so tired mommy". Her fever is going from 99-102. I hope whatever it is goes away quickly! I'm tired of having sickness in this house....
