My little Ladybug!

Madison is starting a tradition of going to the doctor on Halloween. Last year we had her four month check up on Halloween. This year, I took her in because she's been sick for the past week. Hopefully next year we will be doctor free on Halloween! I took the day off today because Trent is in Midland for a football game. After we went to the doctor and picked up her medicine we came home and enjoyed our extra day together at home. Here are a few pictures of her eating her afternoon snack.

Madison and I went to Sanger around 4:30 to meet up with Zack, Melanie and Ethan (the warehouse mouse)! We went to the square in Sanger and let the kids trick-or-treat in all the shops. We ended up at the playground. I had a hard time keeping Madison off the equipment. It was full of big kids and she didn't care. She kept crawling right up to the top and slid down the slide once. She had a great time. She thinks she's just as big as they are.

All of these are on the square in Sanger!

Then at 6:30 we went up to church for Carnival 31. It was really neat. They had it in the church parking lot. They had several different tents set up with games for the kids, they had bounce houses for big kids and even one for little kids, food and trick-or-treating. Madison could only play a few games and even those she wasn't very interested in. She loved watching the kids bounce in the bounce houses.  She wasn't too sure what to think of it when I put her in it. We had a good time with Ethan. We missed Daddy though. We wished he could have been with us on Halloween.

She decided she liked this thing better from the outside!

Watching some kids play miniature golf - she wanted their golf balls. I ended up having to drag her away!

Inside the 'pre-school' tent. She was amazed by the balloons that went all the way to the ceiling. Notice how she holds her pumpkin...so cute! She did not like having anything in her pumpkin. Anytime she would get candy she would take it out and hand it to me or carry it herself! :) She's wearing the bracelet she won in one of the games she played.

We saw several other ladybugs. We took a picture with this little girl. Neither of the girls would look at the camera! After this picture we headed home. Madison was exhausted. She was asleep before we were half way down the street.

This was Madison on Halloween last year. She is 4 months old in these pictures. Yes, she was a hot dog! She was the cutest hot dog you'll ever see!

She's just growing too fast!

So...my baby is growing up too fast! In the past week she has started saying so many new words. Until now, she has only really said uh-oh, momma, dada, ack (jack) and ack-o (rosco) Now she has learned to say: eye, Nana, hi, bye bye, moo, grrr (for lions), and get down.  We say "get down" to the dogs all the time and she has it down. She points her finger and says it just like we do. Her daycare teacher said some kids were climbing on a slide the other day and she told them to get down and Madison ran out there and pointed at them and said "get down". She has also added thank you and milk to the list of signs she can do. She's just started to learn the signs to Jesus Loves Me. We'll see how that goes. I'll have to video it, if she gets it down. They are learning it at daycare but we are supposed to practice it at home too!
We went to the doctor today for her cough and runny nose. She is on some medicine for the next ten days. Hopefully she'll start feeling better soon. Tonight Madison and I are going to the carnival at our church with Zack, Melanie and Ethan. Trent is in Midland for a football game. I can't wait to see how Madison does with everyone dressed up. The doctors and nurses were dressed up today and she liked it! I'll post pictures of my little lady bug tomorrow!

Playing catch up...

It's been a crazy week or two since I last posted pictures. I have my observation at school this coming week so I've been staying late to work, to make sure that everything is in order. For all you teachers out there, you know the feeling. We've also had parent conferences and I had morning duty. Needless to say, when I got home I played with Madison and then went straight to bed. Here are a few pictures from the past week or so.

The Red Car

Most days we have to go on a walk in the red car. Madison loves it. She also loves for me to let go of her and let her ride down the driveway. She thinks it's so funny. I obviously run ahead and am there waiting for her. It really isn't as unsafe as it sounds. Usually at one point during our walk she gets out and pushes for awhile. These are a few pictures of one of our many evenings out front.
Ryan's Football Game

Aunt Kara rode with us to Ryan's game. Madison enjoyed having company in the back seat! She wanted to wear Kara's sunglasses. She couldn't quite keep them on.

Eatin' some dinner at the football game with Nana and Aunt Kara

watchin' Ryan (my cousin) play football in Keller

First time to wear a jacket this fall. I love the cool weather.

Pluto

Grammy and Papa also came to visit. We didn't get any pictures of them with Madison but they did bring her a Pluto. She loves him. Here are a few pictures of her hugging and kissing him. Thanks Grammy and Papa!

Bows, Bows and more Bows!

She wanted all of her hairbows in. Crazy girl. She won't wear the headbands anymore so she can only wear her smaller bows. Her hair isn't long enough or thick enough to hold the bigger bows. Her Daddy thought we were crazy when he got home! She spent the entire evening with all 6 of these in her hair!

Liberty Football

Liberty played Sacred Heart last night and won 41-0! Madison had fun because Zack, Melanie, Ethan, Nana and Pop Pop all came to the game. She had a blast playing with Ethan. She is so funny to watch. She follows Ethan around and does everything he does. She went out on the field at half time and LOVED it. (Liberty has always let all the kids go run around on the field after the half time performances are over. They play music and all the kids go out and dance or run around) The last time I took her out she was scared and didn't want me to put her down. This time she ran all over the place. She tried to keep up with Ethan but he was too fast for her little legs!
So cute!

The Pumpkin Patch

We took Madison to the Pumpkin Patch in Flower Mound on Monday. She had a BLAST! She absolutely loved it. The whole time we were there she ran around smiling, laughing, and yelling (out of pure joy)! She loved all the pumpkins as well as all the kids running around with her. We took several pictures. I had a hard time picking just a few. Needless to say, this post is quite full of pictures. Enjoy.
When we first got out there she ran straight for the pumpkins and tried to pick them up. These were a little heavy for her! Such a cute picture...she was trying SO hard! The scary thing is, she almost picked it up.

This little hay stack was sitting right outside a 'house' made of pumpkins. The pumpkins on this house were all this size and smaller. So she finally found some pumpkins that she could carry around. She liked to sit on this step and roll the pumpkins off. We came back to this spot several times so that she could roll pumpkins onto the ground. It's the smallest things that seem to entertain her the most!
and she's off...
They had a jail house in the field. We locked her inside. As you can see, she didn't care!

She loved these puppies. She kept hugging and kissing them. We finally had to pick her up and walk away. She wasn't wanting to leave this area.

This was the cutest thing of the day. After we had taken our picture (above)  she started running from side to side and popping out, as if she was scaring us! It was SO cute. She thought it was hilarious!

This was the neatest Pumpkin Patch. I've never been to one before so I don't have anything to compare it to. It will definitely be a place that we visit every year. They had so many neat things that we didn't get to do - hayrides, bounce houses/slides, mazes made out of hay etc. Madison was still a little young for those. The hayrides are only on weekends unless you make prior reservations. We didn't know about that. It was so fun watching Madison have so much fun. There's nothing better than watching your own little girl running around having fun!

After we got home I took a few more pictures of her playing out front. I have to include some of those as well...
