Breakfast with Friends

A week or so ago I got to meet up with my best college friends for breakfast! See the fun things you get to do when you're on maternity leave?? Trent and Madison were in school so they weren't able to make it. David & Amy were driving through on their way to Angel Fire, Randy & Ashley had come in for a birthday party AND MICHELLE WAS HOME!!! We had a great time visiting and the kids had fun playing. I hate that Madison & Trent had to miss it! :(

Cooper, Kate & Hannah Mitchell, Cooper & Kendall Dane
(we're missing Madison and Karsyn and Amy has another one on the way)

I love that even though we don't get to see each other often, we all pick right back up where we left off. Trent and I were truly blessed to have and still have such GREAT friends! We can't wait for our summer get together!

Scripture Memory

Madison started memorizing scripture last year. She had a new one each week at school so that was the one we practiced with her at home too. Since she is doing pre-school again she is learning all the same verses, so we have decided to start giving her and Cooper new ones at home. We have them printed & taped on their closet door and in the kitchen. They practice them all week and on Sunday, if they have learned their verse, we are giving them $1.00. We're teaching them about tithing so they will use their money they earn to tithe and then they can save the rest to buy
something they want. Madison says she wants a barbie that she saw on t.v. --apparently you can cut her hair. Cooper doesn't really understand so he hasn't mentioned what he is saving for. We were super proud of them because they both learned their verse on week 1.

Week 1 - "In the beginning God created the Heavens and the Earth" Genisis 1:1

Week 2 we decided to add 2 verses- "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" Proverbs 3:5-6

They were so proud to earn their first dollar. They are on track to get another one tomorrow. Madison is so excited about having the verses printed and in her room. She told Trent that she couldn't wait until her doors and walls are covered in her bible verses. :)

Valentine's Day

My little Valentine's

Showing off what they got from their Daddy for Valentine's Day

These babies are sure LOVED. Their Nana and Pa sent them a gift package--they each got a new swim suite. Madison got candy and stickers, Cooper got a few toys and candy and Karsyn got a new outfit too. Then Grammy and Papa brought Karsyn a new outfit. Madison got a shirt, coloring books, toys, and candy. Cooper got coloring books, toys and candy. I hear Nana and Pop Pop have something for them too! I want to be a kid again :)

After dinner we loaded up and went to get some frozen yogurt from Yogurt Story! It was so Yummy. Then we headed home, took baths and watched the new Chipmunk movie!

We had a great Valentine's Day as a family!

Madison's Valentine Party 2012

Joan came to babysit Cooper and Karsyn while I went to Madison's Valentine Party at school. It was fun to spend an hour or so with my big girl all by herself.

making her bookmark and then showing me the finished product

Madison and Laken

Madison was the first to win BINGO!

Then it was time for cupcakes!

Madison's class

Madison and Kennedy

Madison won musical chairs too!

After she was sugared up we headed home. She decided she wanted to come home with me after the party and I let her. It's not often that we'll be able to do that. We're taking advantage of my 'stay at home mom' status. :)

We forgot to take a picture together at the party so we did it in the car before we left!

The last few weeks

I'm sure loving spending time with this sweet little boy while I'm home

anytime I put Karsyn in her seat, Cooper goes to sit right beside her! Often times I catch him 'reading' a book to her.

One day he brought out his cars and I had K laying on her blanket. He started driving his cars all around her. She got a little fussy so he gave her one of his cars so she could play too! :)

Nana & Uncle Seth came over one evening. Seth had to leave for work the day K was born so this was his first time to meet her.

She was reaching for the butterflies above her head! She hit them a few times.

Cooper would not stop making goofy faces!

Karsyn was watching Cooper while Cooper watched Veggie Tales

sweet sisters

Madison has named her baby Karsyn...so here is Karsyn and Karsyn!
I'm not gonna lie she's made my heart stop a few times when she's talked about fake Karsyn because I think she's talking about real Karsyn.

Daddy came home for lunch one day so I tried to get a few pictures of this sweet face!

Ready to go to Christa's baby shower --she slept in her carseat the whole time. I was ok with that because she stayed germ free. :)

I love this little girl with my whole heart! I'm trying to soak it all in and enjoy EVERY moment with her. I know all too well how fast the time goes.
