Pray for Andrew Heard

Andrew Heard used to coach at Liberty. His wife is a graduate of Liberty. He has been battling brain cancer for some time now. They have a young daughter and are just starting their family. It's heartbreaking to hear their story but amazing to see the faith they have in Jesus. I only pray I could be as strong as they are if I were ever put in that situation. Hearing their story makes me so thankful for Trent's health, my health and the health of our three children. It's something that we so easily take for granted.
Liberty decided to make a shirt and sell it to the whole school -ECE through High School- and dedicate a day to the Heards. All profits would go directly to them to help with their medical bills. Let's be honest, when you have to wear uniforms the kids (mainly talking about the older kids...middle school and high school) will do (or buy) anything to be able to wear jeans. It was a great opportunity for us to share his disease with our kids and be able to pray for him and his family at night. To this day they still bring him and his daughter up in their prayers. I'm so thankful for their sweet hearts. I know they don't understand the magnitude of what he is battling and I hope they never have to first hand. I'm thankful for the time we get to spend praying for a miracle to occur.

Easter 2013

We dyed a few Easter eggs just for the fun of it. I don't think we even used them on Easter. The big kids had a good time coloring them.

The Easter bunny came to visit :)

We went to church and then headed to Celina for lunch and an egg hunt. The kids had a blast playing with their cousins. They LOVE going to Van & Kathy's house.

I know I went overload on taking pictures of Karsyn but she was just too cute and the other two were not interested in having their picture taken  at all. We had such a great day together and I am so thankful for my sweet family.

We ended the day with a movie at home. All 3 of them cuddled up into the recliner to watch it. Karsyn didn't last very long but it was cute while it lasted.

Grandparents Day 2013

Grandparents Day was in April. The kids were lucky to have 5 of their 6 grandparents there. Ron was not able to make it because of work. They were so excited and had been practicing their songs for weeks prior to the day. It was movie themed so they were singing footloose and other songs from that era. It was fun listening to them practice. I love that they are able to experience the ECE together.
During Grandparents Day they do a performance on the stage together. After the performance Pre-K does an egg hunt while Preschool goes to their rooms to show off their work and rooms. Then they switch.

 Madison had a solo

They are so lucky to have so many people that love them. I am thankful all 5 of them took the time out of their busy schedules to come spend the morning with them. It meant the world to the kids.
