Memorial Day

The accessories were all her doing...

We went to Celina on Memorial Day. Trent's mom is leaving for Switzerland this weekend so we wanted to go visit her before she left. Madison had so much fun playing with her cousins and visiting with her Nana and Pop Pop.

Notice she has her baby sitting in the rocking chair next to her...

Busy, busy Saturday

We had a very busy Saturday. We started off the day by going up to Liberty for the spring football game. Madison had so much fun watching her Daddy work. The whole time we were there she kept saying "Daddy workin' now". Her daddy has been gone a lot between track and spring football. When she asks where he is I always say, "Daddy's working now". So she actually got to see him work Saturday morning. After the game we had lunch at Dickey's and she got her free ice cream...which she LOVED. When we came home, we all headed out back to finish the swing set. We (along with her grandparents) got her a swing set for her birthday. (Thanks to them we were able to buy it, those things are EXPENSIVE) Trent has been working on it little by little this week but wanted to finish it on Saturday, if he could. Madison and I played while Trent worked. Madison and I came in about 4 so she could take a nap. After her nap, she was right back outside and didn't come inside until almost 9:00. She was up way past her bedtime. She LOVES her new swing set.

watching her daddy work -spring football game!

gettin some sun and watching her daddy work on the swing set :)

she woke up from her nap after about an hour. I was in the middle of cooking dinner so I set her on the chair and within seconds she was back asleep. She slept here for another 2 hours. The sun must have really worn her out. Notice, Rosco is sleeping above her! :)

Awake and full from dinner...then it was time to go back outside to play! she LOVES the slide. She even got in the swing for a little bit. She sat all by herself. I just pushed her really slow and kept reminding her to not let go! :)

The FINISHED swing set! Happy Early Birthday Madison!

Her Daddy told her she would slide faster if she would put socks on, so we had to go put socks on.

She had to color with her chalk one more time before we went inside for the night!

Silly Girl

I was ironing on Sunday and Madison was playing in her balls, entertaining herself quite well. At one point I noticed she was quiet so I looked down to see what she was doing and this is what I saw! I think I laughed for a good 5 minutes...at least!

First Sno Cone

Do you think she enjoyed her first sno cone?

Her Daddy used the water hose to clean her off before taking her to the bathtub. She was not happy!

Look how stained her hands are!! Her face was the same way. Thankfully, it did come off!

Mother's Day

I got to wake up to this sweet, smiling face on Mother's Day!

We went to Celina on Mother's Day and had lunch with Trent's family! Madison had a great time playing with her cousins! My sweet husband is taking me (and Madison) out to eat tonight since he was gone Saturday and we were too full last night.

Isn't this the sweetest hug??

the kids having a snack and waiting on lunch! Reid pulled up the bar stool so he could sit with the other kids...we did find him another smaller chair!

my sweet baby girl! she's looking at Honey and Diamond in the second picture. She LOVES those horses! I didn't get to see my two mom's but I thought about them all day. I hope you both enjoyed your mother's day and we can't wait to see you SOON!!!

Cousins

Friday night Madison and I went over to Zack and Melanie's to eat and play! After dinner, we let the kids play in the water in the backyard. They had so much fun together! Ethan would try to spray Madison and she would run screaming through the yard. Then she would get the water hose and try to get him wet. One of them decided to drink from the water hose and then that became the game. Madison held onto the hose and they took turns getting drinks. It was so fun to watch them play together. By the end of the night they were both muddy so we put them in the bath together before we headed home to go to bed.

rocking together

On Saturday, Madison and I made Strawberry Dessert for Trent. We wanted him to have a special treat after being gone for 3 days. They were placed 5th going into the state track meet. They ended up getting 3rd place. I am very proud of him! I'm glad track season is over...now if we can just get through spring football...then it's summer camps and real estate. I guess it never ends. Anyways, back to the strawberry dessert. Madison loves helping so she helped me stir everything together and then she got to eat some of the whipped cream! As you can tell...she ENJOYED it!

Walmart story...

This past Saturday we took our normal trip to Wal-mart to buy groceries. Usually Madison starts out sitting in the basket, then moves to standing in the back and sometimes we let her walk. On this particular trip we told her she could walk if she stayed with us. She was doing REALLY well so we let her walk the majority of the trip. When we were checking out Madison was looking at the candy as Trent was unloading the basket. I told Trent "I'm gonna run to find a gift card for Madison's teacher". I knew Madison was looking at the candy but didn't think anything of it. When I walked back around the corner she has a sucker in her mouth and says "sucker mommy". Not only had she opened it and was eating it but she managed to open the $1.00 suckers!! I couldn't help but laugh. The girl knows how to get something. This was after we had already taken some cleaner out of the basket that she threw in for us. THEN, as we were unloading groceries into the trunk I saw some Elmo bowls. I asked Trent if he had gotten those for her. He had not. I had seen her carrying them around but I was ok with it because it was keeping her happy. I just assumed she had put them down somewhere....little did I know it was in my basket. So she made it out with a cool sucker and some Elmo bowls! I better watch out otherwise my Wal-mart bill might get really expensive!

The sucker was VERY messy!!!!
