Pumpkin Patch 2012

Madison's first preschool teacher, Mrs. Carpenter, came to her soccer game this past Saturday. It was so nice of her to come. She recently moved so she had a long drive. This was our first time to see her since May 2010. She left Liberty after Madison had her and we've been trying to get together since but have never made it happen. We finally did. Madison was shy and would hardly talk but she thought it was pretty neat that Mrs. Carpenter came to her game.

Mom and Ron were here to watch her play too! After her game we ate at Chick-fil-A and then headed to the Pumpkin Patch. It was hot and crowded. The bright sun made it hard to get any good pictures! It was also super windy. Although, I didn't get great pictures the kids had fun. They LOVE going to the pumpkin patch.
This was Karsyn's first Pumpkin Patch! I couldn't get her to stand and hold my hand so she sat for her picture! :)

The sun was so bright so these pictures didn't turn out great. I hope to go back another time and get a good picture.

I love this! I just wish the pot was turned. I didn't realize you couldn't see all of it until after we were home.

Getting a picture of all 3 was impossible! Between the sun, wind and distractions of everything going on I never got a good one.

 My little Aggies!

She just couldn't make it. She ended up falling asleep in her stroller!

It was definitely nap time. He's yelling "Don't take me picture". His Nana bought him a sprite on our way out. We had a good time but were ready to get home and rinse all the dirt off and cool off. They are going back on Wednesday when their Nana and Pa come back to babysit.

She's a mess

This little girl had blueberries and oatmeal for breakfast! Can you tell that her Daddy fed her? :)

She loves pulling up on furniture. She found her reflection in the dishwasher and spent the next several minutes kissing herself. :)

I put her in Madison and Cooper's room to play while I started washing dishes. I asked Trent to go get her when he was finished doing what he was doing. I called Laurie and before long I realized I had never seen Trent walk by and hadn't heard from Karsyn. I went down to the kids room and she was gone. I found her in the bathroom with the whole roll of toilet paper on the floor with her. She was super proud of herself! Little stinker!

Going out to eat is not so fun at the moment. She's in the stage where she grabs everything so you have to keep all the food on the opposite side of the table. She has the go-go-gadget arms and reaches things that you think are out of reach. When we leave the floor is covered in cheerios, straws, and any other food she's eaten. I'm thinking we'll stick to fast food when we eat out....at least for the next few months!

A COLD soccer game

This was such a cold soccer game. It was down right miserable! Even in the cold the girls did good. I was super proud of Madison. Most of the girls kept asking to take a break so they could go sit under blankets on the side lines. She NEVER asked to come out! She was given one break and she did snuggle next to Cooper, but it was short lived. She was called back in after a few minutes.
It was our week to provide snacks. Cooper had been so excited about eating the orange slices all week. He snacked on them throughout the game, even in the cold.

Memory Lane

Trent and I have not been back to a football game since we graduated. Coaching high school football 3 hours away doesn't allow for much time to get away during football season. Trent's cousin, Connor, has season tickets and happened to not be going to the game on a weekend that Trent had a Saturday off. Trent's parents were going to watch the kids but his Dad came down with the flu a day before so our trip was cancelled. Then my mom said she would come so it was back on. She came Friday as soon as she got off work and got to our house about 8pm. I drove to Plano and picked up Trent from his game and we headed to College Station. Unfortunately for him, I slept most of the way. Connor let us stay in his rent house. It was empty but it was free. We brought an air mattress and slept for a whole 5 hours. We got to town around 2am and we were up by 7:30. We headed out and grabbed a bite to eat before going to campus. It was raining so we didn't get to walk around as much as we wanted. We did go into the MSC. We had not seen the renovations. It brought back so many memories driving around the town, and walking around the msc. It seems like a life time ago that we were care free college kids. I'm so thankful for our time in College Station and hope to get back before 8 more years pass.

We had great seats and brought some heavy duty rain gear. It was 100% chance of rain and for the most part it wasn't that bad. There was one point that it POURED and I was so thankful Zack let me borrow some of his coaches rain gear. The game was fun and we had great seats! We headed out a little early because we wanted to do a little more shopping and eat before we headed back home. We ate at Wings and More and Trent is still craving their wings. We went to the mall and a tent sale. We got some new Aggie gear and headed out. We hated that our trip was so rushed but we were so thankful Mom sacrificed her time to come watch our kids so that we could go. She headed home when we got home because she had other obligations Sunday morning. It was a whirlwind trip but so worth it. It was nice getting away for a night. We hope to go back in the spring with the whole family for a baseball game.

Nichols Elementary

Trent's grandparents, Gene and Ruby Nichols, had a school named after them in Frisco. It was such an honor for our family. They had a school dedication September 23rd that we were all able to attend. The school choir sang, the superintendent (a family friend) spoke, Kim (Trent's aunt) shared stories about her parents and Van & Sue Ann accepted this plaque that will hang in the front foyer. The kids did great during the dedication and then had a great time playing on the stage when it was over.
