First Home Game

(Liberty does not make toddler boys shirts! They only have onesies! Cooper is supportin' his Aggies until I can get a Warrior shirt made for him! )

We had our first home game of this season last night! It was SO LONG! The first half took 2 HOURS! I usually get there about half time. Last night, I knew I'd be a little early because I had left earlier than normal but I got there with almost 8 minutes left IN THE FIRST QUARTER!! That makes for a long night of chasing kids. We started out in the grass so the kids could run and we could still see the game. Then in the 2nd quarter we moved up to the bleachers and had a small area that the kids could run around. Of course, at half time we went onto the field and let the kids run. That was interesting...having two kids to watch...while both were running in different directions! I definitely got my workout in. The 2nd half went much faster than the 1st. The kids played on the wheelchair ramps. They ran up the ramp and down the stairs, over and over and over. Cooper was so tired by the 3rd quarter so he wanted to be held most of the time. The game wasn't over until 11:00 but we got ANOTHER WARRIOR WIN!! We beat Aubrey 42-27 . The Warriors are UNDEFEATED!

You think they're related???

Eating with a fork

This was Cooper's first attempt at eating with a fork. He did REALLY well. I was impressed. Like Madison, he opened really wide to get that food in there. He loved having his macaroni in a bowl. Here's just another thing that makes my baby seem less like a baby!

A visit from The McKay Uncles

Randy was in town last weekend for the Dave Matthews concert. He stayed with Michael and they came over to visit us Sunday afternoon. Michael brought Cooper's birthday present over, since he wasn't able to be at the party.
We had gone to church and hadn't been home long before they came over, which meant Cooper hadn't been asleep long before he was woken up. He just kept staring at the boys. It was like he couldn't figure out what was going on.

He just kept watching the boys...while Madison opened his present! Michael went overboard, like always! He got him a truck and trailer. He said the bag wasn't full enough so instead of getting a smaller bag, he went and got more toys to fill the bag :) He added a package of small tractors, a red car, bubbles and a football.

He LOVED this car! You shake it and then it goes on its own.

Madison wanted to go outside and play with Cooper's new bubbles.

They are friends now! This is probably one of the most exciting things that happened on this visit :) After 3 years, she finally decided that she liked Randy enough to sit with him and play with him.

FIRST sucker on his FIRST birthday

Nana and Pa brought some suckers yesterday. This morning Madison asked for a sucker and I said yes. Yes, I know a sucker in the morning is not good but oh well. I decided I'd let Cooper have the other one. My plan was for me to hold it and for him to suck on it. That lasted a whole two seconds and I just gave it to him. I put him in the recliner so I could wipe it and him down when he was finished. He thoroughly enjoyed his first sucker! He just kept laughing and laughing!

Happy 1st Birthday!

We celebrated Cooper's First Birthday at our house with our family! Our family is so big that it's hard to invite friends when we have it at the house because our house just isn't big enough! A lot of people couldn't/didn't come so we ended up having plenty of space. I did a sports theme since he's so into balls right now.

I LOVE this picture.
I was baking the cupcakes for Cooper's party and Madison always licks the spoon when I make cakes/cupcakes. Cooper was very interested in what she was eating and wouldn't let it go so I dipped a small spoon in the batter and let him have some. He couldn't finish it fast enough. He loved it!

Here are some pictures of the house

Our wall of photos...newborn to 12 months!

When everyone was here we let him open his presents! He opened the first one and then he was more interested in the paper and boxes. His sister and cousins didn't give him a chance to open up much more because they were too fast. I had to keep pushing them back.

He loved hitting this box! He kept going back to it.
He got lots of trucks/cars, some tools, a piano, diapers and money!

These two wouldn't stay away from the cupcakes. I think Ethan had his face in one within minutes of being here. Every time they had a chance they were both back at the table staring at the cupcakes.

After we finished opening presents, Trent grilled some hamburgers and hotdogs and we had dinner.

The kids played while everyone finished eating!

Cooper with his Grandparents and Great-Grandmom! (His Grammy couldn't come because she had to work so Papa is alone in his picture)

My sweet ONE year old! How crazy is that?!?

About to get his birthday cake!

As we were singing and before I could get a picture he grabbed his candle so he was not happy!

but he quickly recovered and got right into the cake. He was not shy at all...

She made a big mess too! I think she was trying to be like her brother since he was getting so much attention.

Nana and Pa gave Cooper a bath and got him all cleaned up for me!

We had a great day and are so thankful for all the family that took the time to come celebrate with us on Cooper's special day!

Madison crashed in our bed with a sucker! My comforter now has a purple drool stain :)
