First Day

Today was Madison's first day of Pre-School at Liberty and it was Cooper's first day back at Becky's from our summer break! I didn't get to see anyone this morning. I left at 6:30 and everyone was still asleep. I hear they had quiet the morning. When Trent went in to get Cooper he was met with the smell of throw-up. Cooper had thrown up and had it all over his bed. We had people coming to look at the house at 10:00 this morning so Trent had to get two kids dressed and clean up a messy bed. Then on the way out the door Madison smashed her finger in the door. Sounds like he had a fun first day of school morning :) I asked him to get some pictures of the kids. I'm sure he was really not into it after his morning but here you go:

Ms. Cheryl (secretary at Liberty) was AMAZING and went down to get some pictures of Madison for me this morning since I wasn't able to be there. Madison wouldn't look at her so I only posted a few. Madison had a GREAT day. She was not even excited to see me. She smiled real big and then right back to playing in the sand table. She didn't want to leave. It made me so sad but excited at the same time. I'm glad she likes it THAT much.

I tried to get a better picture of Cooper than Trent got but as you can see he is a mess! His shirt is covered in food. He did not have such a great day. :( I think his biggest problem was nap time. He's not used to sleeping in a room full of kids and ON A NAP MAT!!! He only slept 30 minutes. They said he cried most of the day if they weren't holding him. I feel so sorry for him. I think he'll continue to have rough days until he can get used to the sleeping arrangements. He was taking a 2 hour nap in the morning and another hour and a half to two hour nap in the afternoon. Then to go to 30 minutes. No wonder he was cranky! When he saw me he just lost it. He was crying so hard! It was like, "Mom why did you leave me here all day???" I felt so bad!

Look how happy he was once he got in the car! :) My baby is glad to be going home. He's in his bed now. We got home at 5:00. I figured I would let him sleep until 6:00 and then I'll wake him up for dinner, bath and some play time before he goes back to bed at 8:00. Let's pray for a better day for him tomorrow!

WHAT A WEEK!!

This past week has been SO CRAZY! It doesn't help that it was my first week back to work so I was exhausted.
Sunday we were in Celina all day celebrating Trent's 30th birthday with his family. We got home that evening and Mom came to town to babysit the kids for a few days.
Monday- I worked from 7-5ish. Trent worked 7-4ish and came home for a quick birthday meal and was back out the door for Upper School Parent Orientation from 6:30-9:00.
Tuesday- I worked all day. Trent worked in the morning and then did yard work all afternoon. Mom took the kids to eat with Michael and Joan. We were all home by 4:30. Mom started cooking dinner and we got a call at 5:15 to show the house IMMEDIATELY! So we turned dinner off, got in the car and drove around for 30 minutes. We got back home. Mom finished dinner while Trent and I got ready for Madison's Parent Orientation. We left for that at 6:30 and got home at 9:00.
Wednesday- Trent and I worked all day. Dad & Laurie came around 2:30 to watch kids and mom went home. We had a quick dinner and Trent was back out the door for his 3rd Parent Orientation. He had to go to the middle school one because he teaches one middle school class. He got home around 8:30.
Thursday- I worked from 7-12:30. I came home to get Madison and take her up to Liberty for her Meet the teacher. We met up with Trent once we got there. We stayed there for about an hour. Trent took her back home and then went back to school for his football scrimmage. I went back to work to prepare for my Parent Orientation that night. I didn't get home until after 8:30. Dad & Laurie took the kids shopping and to eat and they didn't get home until close to 9:00. Trent was home around 10:00
Friday- Trent had team pictures/preparing for next weeks game at school til 2:30. I worked all day and had my meet the teacher during that time. Laurie left to go back to Abilene that morning so Dad was left with the kids most of the day. He survived and so did the kids! I got home around 4:30 and he headed to Michael's for the night. We loaded up all of Cooper's stuff for daycare and took it up there that way Trent wouldn't have too much to take on Monday morning.

Needless to say this was ONE CRAZY BUSY week! It's so different having one of our own that has stuff to be at now. Between the two of us we had 4 Parent Orientations and 2 Meet the Teacher's and too many meetings to count! I'm ready for another summer vacation! :) If I can just get through next week I think we'll be ok. :)

Madison's FIRST 'Meet the teacher'

Madison had her very first meet the teacher on Thursday. She has been so excited to go to her 'daddy's school'. She was excited to meet her teacher, Mrs. Carpenter. She even said she was going to tell her "hi" but of course she was silent when we got there. She didn't say a word to anyone but she loved playing with all of the toys. I don't think it will take her too long to warm up once school starts! Her friend Matt is in her class. His dad is a football coach at Liberty too and they go to our church. So she'll get to see Matt every day except Saturday! She has 6 kids in her class, 3 boys and 3 girls! Her teacher seems super sweet. I think Madison will really like her.

Busted Lip

My poor girl took a tumble and busted her lip! She was so sad. This was the first time she's had lots of blood. She was running down the hallway and tripped and went face first into the tile floor. It was really swollen that night and the next day but it's gone down and is slowly fading away! But boy was she upset that night. Anytime she started to talk about it, big tears would fill her eyes!

Trent turns the BIG 3-0!!

Trent turned the big 3-0 on August 16th. I had originally planned to have a surprise party for him but then his brother had a surprise party for his wife (who was also turning 30) the month before. I didn't want it to look like I was copying them so I nixed that idea. I asked him if he wanted me to get some of our friends together and go out for his birthday but he wasn't interested. Since his birthday does fall right in the middle of football practices/camps/inservice etc. I didn't push it.
His birthday fell on a Monday but it was the Monday that I went back to school and he had a million and one things going on. He had practice/inservice/parent orientation so he wasn't going to be home until after 9:00. So we celebrated on Saturday and Sunday instead.

Saturday he had a scrimmage in Whitesboro all day. When he came home we had the sign up with his presents and these homemade cinnamon rolls!

Madison was SO excited about his sign!

That night we went to eat at BJ's as a family since he didn't want a party. It was nice to all be together again. Trent has been gone so much since football started.

Madison and her Daddy

My sweet boy!

I tried to get a picture of Trent with the kids since they all matched but Cooper wasn't interested. They are matching because Madison wanted to wear her Rangers shirt after I put Cooper's on him.

Sunday after church we went to Celina to have Trent's birthday lunch with his side of the family!

Love this one! Everyone is smiling.

The kids all enjoyed an ice pop outside before heading home!
Even though we didn't have a big party to celebrate I hope Trent knows how much he means to me and to our family! He's the best husband and daddy! We couldn't ask or hope for me. We love you and Happy 30th Birthday!!!

McDonalds Fun!

Trent's oldest brother and his family moved closer to us over the summer. They used to be about an hour and a half away and now they're only 30 minutes.
We met them last week at McDonalds to play. Madison had such a great time. Cooper had some fun himself. Now that he can get around he's on the go.
I had them all get together before we left to get a quick picture. I have no idea what Madison is doing.

Camp Copass

Trent has been out of town for the past two weeks at camp! They do their two a days for two weeks and at a camp. This is by far the hardest part of football season for me. I'm used to him being gone all day (once football starts) but it's hard when he doesn't come home in the evening for 2 weeks! I don't sleep well at all when he's not home so that makes for one tired momma! :)
Madison asked me a million times the first two days where her Daddy was. Now she'll just randomly say, "My Daddy's at camp".

All of the parents (and coaches wives) go out to camp for the evening practice. The parents go out to watch. I go out to chase my kids around. :) Madison loves to go out to see her Daddy and Cooper does too. He just smiles and smiles when he gets to see Trent. I think Trent enjoys us coming out just as much, if not more.

Here are a few pictures from the last night at Copass! Trent comes home tonight!!! Yay!!

watching her Daddy's team practice

*Cousins* Zack came back to Liberty this year (after being gone for 3 years) so we are excited about that!

Daddy & his babies and possibly a future coach??

We have sure missed our Daddy! We are so excited that he's coming home tonight!

*tear*

I can't believe my sweet boy is old enough to need a nap mat at school! It just doesn't seem possible! Since I was taking a picture of Cooper's nap mat, I had to take one of Madison's too. :) Then she wanted to get in the picture with both nap mats. Her nap mat is going on it's 3rd year but she LOVES it. (She has a friend at daycare named Mary who apparently smiles like this because she says, "I'm smiling like Mary" or "Mary does this". She does it all the time).
My sweet babies are both ready for school. This was all Cooper needed but Madison has about 4 bags of school supplies that she also has to have. Still can't believe our summer is coming to an end.

Cheese!

These are Madison's 3 year and 2 month pictures :)

Everytime I take Cooper's she has to have her turn too.

Hey, at least she let me take her picture. These days she runs away or turns her head when the camera comes out, unless it's on my phone. For some reason she thinks those are ok. :)
I'm going to miss this sweet girl when I have to go back to work. I still can't believe she's about to be in pre-school!

Cooper is 11 months!

I can't believe we are one month away from celebrating his FIRST BIRTHDAY!! Time has gone by so quickly. I feel like he's grown up before our eyes.

In his 10th month he:

-STARTED WALKING!! He started off taking a few steps. Then he went to walking and as soon as he'd fall he'd just crawl the rest of the way. Then overnight he just woke up and started walking everywhere. He never crawls anymore. He's still wobbly but he gets around pretty quickly!

-since he is walking, he's constantly getting into Madison's things. The tattling has begun. She's pretty good about it but she has her days where I feel like she's constantly tattling on him. He has his days where he's constantly in her stuff. :)

-we broke him of his 2:30am bottle. He goes to bed around 8:00 and usually he'll wake up around 5:30 or 6:00. I get up and give him a bottle and he usually goes back to sleep until 8:00. Sometimes he'll sleep straight through until 7:00. In 2 weeks he'll have to be up early anyways.

-he eats most table food now. It makes it a little easier when we're out because I don't have to worry about packing a full meal for him. He does LOVE his lil crunchies cheese flavored sticks. They are basically baby cheetos. Another big favorite is still strawberries.

-some of the new foods he's had this month are: lil crunchies, graham crackers, gold fish, party burrito from Taco Bueno (he ate almost the whole thing), corn, hamburger meat, waffles & ravioli.

-still has the same 6 teeth. 4 on top and 2 on bottom.

-He's STILL a screamer! I hope daycare can cure him of this because I've had no success.

-He's learned one sign. All done. He's so proud when he does it.

-He loves anything with wheels: strollers, cars, wheelchairs, lawnmowers...anything!!!

-He loves all balls! He can throw it pretty well too!

-He LOVES the bath and LOVES being outside. If he's ever upset we can take him outside or put him in the bathtub and he immediately starts laughing. Sometimes he takes LONG baths :)

-He still doesn't say much. He's constantly making sounds but he really only says dada consistently.

-drinks from a sippy cup

-watches TV especially when they are singing. Barney and The Wheels on the Bus are two of his favorites. Madison usually watches one in the morning and one in the evening and he usually finds his way into our room to watch it with her. It's real cute.

Next month I'll be posting pictures of this sweet boy on his birthday! We managed to find a day that his Daddy could be there too since football season is in full swing!

I'm going to have a hard time sending him back to daycare! My days won't be the same without his smiling face following me all around the house!

Another baseball game

We went to another Rangers game last week and Michael came with us! Madison was so excited to have him there. We went on 1.00 hotdog night and it was packed! The game wasn't that great but the weather was fantastic! We sat on the 3rd deck this time and we had a great breeze the entire night!
Madison did great but we did have to walk around with Cooper a little more than we did the first time. He did the best when he was sitting with Michael. I guess we'll have to take him everytime we go. :)
