Before we were all sick...

Here are few pictures from the past few weeks (before we were sick):

I'll start off with a picture of my sweet baby boy (who is getting way too big)

This is Madison doing decline push-ups (an exercise off my p90x videos) She works out with me. Really.

This is a new trend these days -panties and shoes

sweet moments together

This is something else she's doing these days- cleaning out her toes. I'm not sure where she learned this from but she's constantly taking off her shoes to clean her toes. It's gross. I'm so glad I got a picture of it though.

singing in the car

The trend continues...this time with house boots (that's what she calls her house shoes)

My babies. If you look closely you'll see that Cooper's hair is in a mohawk. I did it to be silly but Madison wanted me to leave it that way. It was still like that the next morning.

What a week...

This past week has been ROUGH!!! Last Wednesday night Cooper threw up his bottle. We didn't think anything of it. We just thought he ate too much. I should have known something was up because he never spits up and this was much more than that. Thursday morning his daycare teacher calls me to tell me that he had thrown up twice in the few hours that he had been there and had no appetite. So, Trent went and picked him up. He did ok the rest of the day--he didn't throw up but he didn't really eat either. Thursday night he was up off and on ALL night. Friday Trent stayed home with both kids. Cooper developed a fever and had a really bad cough. Saturday and Sunday were pretty much the same as Friday. He still didn't have much of an appetite, he was running a fever off and on and his cough was horrible. Still not sleeping. Monday he went to daycare. They said he did ok. He was drinking his bottles more normally and didn't have a fever. Monday night his temperature got to 101 and he was just uncomfortable. I took off Tuesday. Did I mention I'm out of days so I don't get paid when I'm off :/ Trent took Madison to daycare so I could take Cooper to the doctor. I planned to go get her after her nap. While we were in the waiting room at the doctors office I get a call from daycare. They informed me that Madison had pink eye IN BOTH EYES!! Really?? Could the week get any better? Luckily I was at the doctor still so they gave me medicine for her while I was there. Cooper had an ear infection and a cold. He got an antibiotic. That morning Madison had asked Trent for a wipe to get the fuzz out of her eye. I guess it was starting to itch her but he said it wasn't pink when he took her to daycare. It came on really fast. She has to have drops 3 times a day for 7 days. Cooper has medicine 2 times a day for 10 days. If you've never put eye drops in a 2 year olds eyes be thankful. It's a chore. I have to say she is getting better. Tonight wasn't much of a struggle at all. She'll be a pro by day 7.
Now that both kids are on medicine I'm hoping that we are on the uphill. Cooper did sleep MUCH better last night. He still woke up but only once and wasn't up long at all. Cross your fingers and say a prayer for the same tonight. Eventually we'll get back to sleeping through the night...I hope.
I'll leave you with a picture of my sweet babies!

4 month update

Cooper went to the doctor on Wednesday for his 4 month check-up! Trent took him because I have NO days left. Everything went well. He's a healthy boy!

I told you he was LONG. He was off the charts in his height!!

Height- 27 1/4" (100%)
Weight- 15.3 lbs (60%)
Head- 42 cm (50%)

He did get his first fever today, probably from his shots. It was 100.3 so that's not too bad. Don't you just love the sweet smile in this picture?? I sure do.

4 month pictures

I sure wish I could figure out how to flip that picture. It sure is driving me crazy.

I finally got Cooper in to get his picture taken! I did Madison at 3,6,9 and 12 months! I'm a little off on his. I plan to get both of their pictures taken together when I take him back for his 6 month pictures! He did a good job today and I think they turned out cute! I still can't believe he's already 4 months old.

Cooper is 4 MONTHS OLD!

I can't believe it. He's old enough to eat! It seemed like it took forever for Madison to reach this point. With Cooper it was here before I even realized it. My baby boy is growing up WAY TOO FAST!

He doesn't go to the doctor until the 13th because our dr. is on vacation. I'll have all of his stats at a later date. I do know he's LONG. The boy is almost growing out of 9month pajamas! CRAZY!

This past month

-He rolled over. He goes from back to tummy.

-Wearing 3-6 month clothes in separate outfits and 6-9 months and 9 months in pajamas! Like I said up top, he's so long.

-He has started teething. It's messed his sleeping up and he's constantly drooling and chewing on his hand. His poor little hand is so red and chapped.

-His messed up sleep schedule is as follows-goes to bed around 9. Wakes up at 4 and has a hard time going back to sleep and back up again around 7:30 (the past two nights he's been closer to his normal schedule: going to bed around 8 and sleeping til 6ish...ready to get back to 7ish)

-Eats every 2 hours. 6oz bottles. We just started cereal a few days ago. He has that 3 times a day as well. He's still not really sure about it. It's hit or miss with him actually eating it.

of course Madison has to help feed him too!

-He smiles all the time. If you look at him, he smiles. I LOVE IT!

-He likes to watch TV, especially Barney. Only for a few minutes though. He's actually been almost asleep and Barney gets turned on and he's wide awake and watching it. (The joys of having older siblings. Madison didn't watch TV til she was almost one, even then she wasn't interested)

-He's very observant. He watches everyone and everything.

-He pulls himself up by his pant legs. I lay him on my legs alot to talk to him and he'll grab his pants and start to pull himself up to a sitting position. He can't get all the way up but he gets half way there.

-Still loves to face out when you hold him. Still loves for me to walk around

-He laughs and it's SO CUTE

-knows his name...or at least looks at you when you say it

-Had to leave him for the first time since he was born. He stayed with all 3 of his Grandmom's while I went back to work before Christmas

-Went to daycare for the first time! He's done very well. As of today, he's only been twice. He seems to be adjusting well. He comes home very tired. I miss seeing him while I'm at work and hate that he's so tired when I do get to see him.

FIRST DAY of daycare

We are all adjusting to having a working Mommy again. It's definitely different and a lot harder now that I'm working all day. The things that used to get done during the day can't get finished until the kids are in bed. I'm learning to try to balance my time between 2 kids when I only get to see them for about 4 hours. But we'll make it. We're counting down the days til Spring Break now...

oops!

Just realized I never posted about Christmas morning...

We had to go wake Madison up at 9 so that we would have time to open presents and play before going to Celina for the big Vest family Christmas.

Santa ate most of his cookies and drank all of his milk...

Cooper slept through the beginning of the morning...until Madison started getting really excited and loud :)

seeing her car for the first time...

I tried to talk her into asking for the pink barbie jeep but she wanted the green one like Ethan! Oh well, now Cooper can use it too! :)

Cooper watched me open all of his presents

getting ready to go for a ride

As you can see our roads were very icy. We ended up not being able to make it to Celina for the Vest Christmas lunch. We hated to miss seeing everyone but at the same time it was WONDERFUL to stay home and play all day. We stayed in our pajamas ALL DAY. Around 5:00 we loaded up and headed to Abilene because the roads were finally clear.
