Finally home

We finally made it home Sunday afternoon. As you can see Madison was exhausted! If you know her, you know she does not sleep well unless she's in her bed! This shows just how tired she was. She fell asleep on Trent's lap while watching TV.

Christmas Day

After waking up and having Santa at home we loaded up the car -bags, gifts, and 2 dogs- and headed for Abilene. We went to my Dad and Laurie's house and opened presents with them. Laurie had all kinds of goodies to eat when we got there. Later that afternoon we headed over to my Nanny and Papa's house (my dad's parents) to have Christmas lunch and open presents with them. Madison did really well especially after a long Christmas Eve in Keller, Christmas/Santa at home, a 3 hour drive to Abilene and then having her 3rd, 4th and 5th Christmases there.

Walking into Dad's living room to see what Santa had left for her!

another tricycle! I have a feeling we'll be going on lots of walks around the neighborhood with 2 tricycles.

She had her Papa push her around ALL weekend!

All ready to head over to her great Nanny and Papa's house!

opening MORE presents!

We spent Thursday to Sunday in Abilene. We had a really good visit. We spent Saturday evening with Laurie's dad and step mom. Madison had a great time at that Christmas too because there were 5 little girls to play with. They are all older so they carried her around, danced with her, put make up on her and did whatever she wanted them to do. (I have pictures being e-mailed to me so I'll post them when I get them) In all we've had 5 Christmases. But, we still have one very important one left. We will go see Trent's parents on Wednesday to have our Christmas with them.

Madison is one spoiled little girl! She's not going to know what to do when she has to share all of this attention with a brother or sister. Although she still has awhile! :)

Christmas Morning

I woke up Christmas morning about 7:30 and started packing the car for Abilene. Trent got up and helped and then jumped in the shower. When he was finished we went and got Madison so that she could open her presents from us and see all of her gifts from Santa. It was all very quick and she did not really want to leave her toys to get in the car.

Merry Christmas!

Walking in to see all of the toys that Santa left for her! We have all of this on video too!

The little stinker walked right past her kitchen to the little people farm. She loves animals!

Then she went to her kitchen! She pulled out the food and started playing right away. I think she's really going to love having this.

She found some chapstick in her stocking. As you can see, she's a pro at putting it on.

coughing through it all...poor baby!

Finally, on our way to Abilene to see Grammy and Papa! She got to watch Elmo on her new DVD player in the car. She loved it. We watched it three times to be exact.

Christmas Day pictures to come!

Christmas Eve

Christmas is a busy time for us! We spent Christmas with my family this year. It all started on Tuesday. All of my family (aunts, uncles, cousins, siblings) all met up at my Aunt Joan and Uncle Shon's house. We went over for a few hours to visit with everyone. My Mom came home with us and spent the night at our house.

Madison and Nana on Tuesday evening!

CHRISTMAS EVE
We woke up and layed around the house for awhile. After we got ready we headed back over to Joan and Shon's house where we hung out all day. That evening we opened presents, ate dinner and then did a gift exchange. It was a long but fun day.

Madison really wanted to go outside so Joan wrapped a blanket around both of them so that they would be warm. It was cute so I had to get a picture.

Madison played with a wrapping paper tube for a long time. It was very entertaining to her.

Nana and Pa gave her an early Christmas present. I think this is her favorite gift that she got. She walked around the house for hours pushing her babies around. Trent taught her to say "beep beep" so she walked around the house saying "beep beep" everytime she came near someone. Too cute!

My mom bought this dress for Madison so she wore it on Christmas Eve. It's so cute!

My cousin Brian. Not real sure what's going on with his hair.

OPENING PRESENTS

Her Uncle Michael is way too nice to her. He bought her this red tricycle. She loved it! He outdoes everyone everytime. On her birthday he bought her this lion that she could ride that roared. It was one of her favorite gifts. The rocking horse was given to her by her Nana and Pa. They were very sweet too! She loved sitting on it and rocking. I think this is going to be one of her favorites once it makes it to our house. It wouldn't fit in our car so we'll have to go back to get it soon. I don't know where I'm going to put all of these toys. She still has Christmas Day with my Dad and then Christmas with Trent's parents. We are going to need a new house just to fit all the toys.

Michael can't be normal in pictures.

Update

We ended up taking Madison in to see Dr. Torrie this morning. They said she has bronchiolitis. They gave us a prescription but told us not to start giving it to her until Friday, if she's not better. Poor baby! Hopefully she'll kick this and be happy and healthy for Christmas!

sick baby

My poor baby is getting sick just in time for Christmas. She's had a pretty bad cough for a few days and it only seems to be getting worse. This morning she woke up and her left eye is really red and constantly waters. I feel so bad for her. You can tell she just doesn't feel good. At one point today she started crying and said "eye, eye, eye" and pointed to the hurt eye. This was the first time she has ever been able to tell me what hurts. It broke my heart. The doctor called in a prescription for some eye drops! Hopefully we'll start to see some improvements SOON! This evening we sat on the couch and watched Elmo! She snacked on some grapes as I took some pictures. The last two pictures really show how bad it looks.
