Abilene

We started our Spring Break off with a quick trip to Abilene. Trent was off on Friday so he kept the kids at home. As soon as I got off we loaded up and headed to Abilene. We got on the road about 4:30...not a smart choice. We sat in traffic for a very long time. It took us almost 2 hours to get to Weatherford (usually takes us about an hour, at most). We had to make a few stops to use the restroom and finally made it to mom's about 8pm. Michael was there too. We had dinner waiting on us! (Ribs and Fajitas...Yummy!) No one went to bed until midnight! Cooper slept in the car so he was ready to go when we got there. Madison stayed awake in the car but she always gets excited to see her Grandparents.

Saturday we woke up and had breakfast. Grandmom came over and Madison and Nana made flowers like they do on Barney. :) That afternoon Grandpa came over and Michael took us out to Dr. Doziers house. Madison enjoyed seeing all the animals and walking around outside. It was such a pretty day. We enjoyed being outside.

I put Madison's sunglasses on him thinking he'd pull them right off but he didn't. He just laughed. He kept them on until she wanted them back!

Love these pictures of Trent and Madison. I think they are so sweet! I think the one of her following Michael and Trent is cute too! She loves them both so much!

Saturday night we went to Dad's. We ate dinner and then went to the mall. That was a mistake on Laurie's part. Dad wants to buy everything for Madison. We went to exchange some shoes they had gotten her and she ended up with another pair too! After we left the mall, we went to PrimeTime. Madison was so exhausted by this point. She played the games but seemed so out of it. We made it over to the playground and she got to play a few minutes and then we had to leave because she had an accident. She hasn't had an accident in FOREVER. I couldn't even tell you the last time she did. I don't carry extra clothes for her anymore. This weekend she had two. I'm not really sure what that was all about. We went back to Dad's and watched movies and played.

Nanny & Papa came over for lunch on Sunday. Laurie made a roast and all the stuff to go with it. It was great! We ate and played. That night we went back over to Mom's and then left Monday. It always feels like we don't have enough time when we go. It's hard splitting the time between both families. I didn't get to see any friends this trip! Hopefully next time.

As you can see, the kids were EXHAUSTED! This was Sunday afternoon. By this point they had stayed up til midnight one night and ten the next night. Madison had no naps until this point! I had a hard time waking her up to go back over to Mom's. Cooper took several naps but he was still tired.

We are home now and Madison is running a fever. Not sure what it's from. She kept telling us she was so tired on Monday. We thought it was just from her busy weekend. She's still happy and playing but every once in awhile she'll complain of her tummy and head hurting. She just keeps saying "I'm so tired mommy". Her fever is going from 99-102. I hope whatever it is goes away quickly! I'm tired of having sickness in this house....

Some of the pictures wouldn't load, like the one with Madison folding, so I'll check back later.

I didn't realize that Cooper was that conked out in Trent's lap, I know he was exhausted. Thats just how it is when they are visiting grandparents, no time for rest.
