Melanie and I were able to go to the last football game of the year and Trent's last football game as a coach without ANY KIDS! Gary and Sue Ann were sweet enough to keep all 6 kids so that we could go to the game. Cooper was going to come with me until the last minute. I guess he decided Nana and Pop Pop's might be more fun than the game.
They played TCA in Frisco so that was perfect for us! We dropped the kids off and got to the game early. We decided we'd go get coffee first. We were able to watch the game. I think it's one of the first games I've actually watched in 5 years. It was fun. We lost 'a whole bunch to just a little' according to Trent. I couldn't remember the score (since I'm way behind in blogging and that was 2 months ago).
As I posted earlier, Trent is not going back to coaching after this year so this game was bittersweet. I will actually miss the coaching/coaches wife world. Don't get me wrong, I am THRILLED to have my husband back but this is all I've known since we were married. Our kids were just getting to the ages where we could go to games and have fun again! I won't be complaining or sad next August when he doesn't leave me for 2 weeks of football camp! :) One era in our lives is ending and I can't wait to see what the future holds for us.
